Rho Delta Zeta (Washtenaw County) was chartered on April 25, 1998 at the Great Lakes Regional Leadership Conference at the Westin Hotel in Detroit, Michigan. The six charter members were: S. Joy Gaines, Lauri D. Gause, Teresa K. Myers, A. Jean Reed, Chinissa (Sumpter) White and Margrette A. Taylor.
Rho Delta Zeta is committed to fostering and promoting the sorority's ideals of Finer Womanhood, Scholarship, Service and Sisterly Love. The chapter incorporates all of these ideals through its many community service projects.
Partnering with other groups and organizations, such as the March of Dimes and American Diabetes Associate. Rho Delta Zeta works to foster the mind, body and spirit of young women and children within Washtenaw County.
Rho Delta Zeta is also the graduate advising chapter to Pi Delta, the undergrad chapter located at Eastern Michigan University.
