Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Rho Delta Zeta Chapter Margrette A. Taylor Scholarship Fund
Margrette A. Taylor was a founding member of Rho Delta Zeta Chapter. Sensing the need to establish a Zeta chapter within Washtenaw County, she worked tirelessly to gather other Zeta women together, and in 1998, Rho Delta Zeta chapter was born.
Soror Margrette A. Taylor was raised in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and later went on to earn her law degree from the University of Michigan. Margrette was full of life, and was dedicated to the things that were important to her, including her beloved sorority.
In 2000, Margrette's life was taken in a car accident. In honor of her life, Rho Delta Zeta chapter established a scholarship fund in her name. Margrette was a firm believer in education, and this scholarship fund is the best way to honor her memory.
Each year, Rho Delta Zeta awards two young, college bound high school women with scholarship funding to help offset the costs associated with their first year of college. Through donations from businesses and individuals, we have been able to continue this wonderful program.
